READERS OF THE WEEKConcordia Elementary School is a community of voracious readers. WE LOVE BOOKS! Each week a different teacher is provided the opportunity to recognize an outstanding student reader as our Reader of the Week. Special 'READ' posters are then created that feature the student with a favorite book. Additional posters are also made for the teacher. The posters are displayed in our school library and on our website for a week, and then they are presented as a keepsake to the featured reader. These beautiful posters are created by Mrs. Christine Kramer, our amazing PTA Library Chairperson. Check out this week's Readers of the Week below. Raisa Shafi, Non-Fiction Reader of the Week

Student FeesCalifornia law does not allow school districts to charge fees to students for curricular and extracurricular activities. However, due to state budget cuts, schools can no longer afford to fund many of these programs. Therefore, we sometimes request voluntary donations from parents to offset the costs of these activities. However, parents are not required to pay fees or make donations and all students may participate in extracurricular activities regardless of whether or not their parents make a donation. For additional and more detailed information about student fees, please click on the link below ($$$) which will take you to the Student Fees page on the CUSD website.
